The Indian Wild Ass (Equus hemionus khur), commonly called the Khur, is a wild equid native to the arid landscapes of western India. In Gujarat, its stronghold is the Little Rann of Kutch, where it inhabits the expansive saline desert, grasslands and surrounding open landscapes.
